A drive along the Atlantic seaboard starts our day. We pass the famous beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay on our way to Hout Bay. Here we will stop at the harbour and if you wish you can take the ferry to Duiker (Seal Island) to spot the seal colony. This is also the famous Dungeons reef where the Red Bull Big Wave Surfing contest is held in winter each year. We take the Chapmans Peak route (weather permitting) and pass through the little seaside town of Noordhoek. An ostrich farm indicates the entrance to the Cape of Good Hope Nature reserve and from the gate it is another 20 minutes to the Point.
The weather in this part of the world is extreme so it is advisable to take a jacket with you even on the warmest of starts to the day.
We will spend enough time for you to explore the area and even challenge the walk up the mountain for the fit and healthy. You may otherwise take the funicular(own account).
Seaforth Beach near the penguins at Simonstown is our next stop where you can walk to view the penguins at the neighbouring Boulders Beach (own account).
We pass through the old English looking village of Simonstown o our way back to Cape Town and time permitting we can stop off at Kirstenbosch Gardens for a leisurely stroll (own account).
